Welcome to NYFWM. As the fashion world continues to push the seasons faster and faster to retail, NYC once again has the spotlight on it. Hosting NYFWM as well menswear trade shows such as Mrket, ProjectNY, & Capsule, this is the time when new brands and established labels show off their hard work.
The hardest working man this summer has to be David Hart. In addition to his own collection, David collaborated with American manufacturer Hart Schaffner Marx. Established in 1887, HSM continues to evolve it’s tailored clothing. Inspired by pictures taken by Slim Aarons, Hart incorporates textured fabrics, double breasted suits, and floral trousers to make wearers feel as if they were visiting the French Riviera.
David Hart’s personal collection, brings out the laid back vibe of Southern California. With a Beach Boys inspired show, the tailored pieces were highlighted by a yellow & black Samoan/ tiki print tuxedo. Solid color & floral shorts as well as color blocked polos & knit tops were key looks for the Sportswear collection. Although this collection showcased Spring / Summer 17′, the airbrushed tees are available now.
