What do you get when you blend friends & family with tacos & tequila? Answer…..a great engagement party. I made a few calls and asked for a non humid sunny Saturday, and no one was disappointed. As you know, planning a wedding is a piece of cake. Having a long loving marriage, that’s when you have to roll up your sleeves and put in the work.
Suit: Hickey Freeman
Shirt: HUGO BOSS
Bowtie: Robert Talbott
Shoes: To Boot New York
Timepiece: HUGO BOSS
Beard oil: Solo Noir
With my fiancé going with an all white ensemble and gold crown, I went with a made to measure suit from Hickey Freeman. Loved the plaid print when I saw the swatch, and decided that a three-piece suit would be great to have. The fabric was an earth tone color with a hint of grey and blue, and wore a solid white spread collar shirt. When wearing a suit with a pattern, you want to wear a solid color shirt, otherwise the two patterns fight each other, and look too busy.
When choosing my shoes and accessories, I went with the chestnut color brogue lace up shoe with matching belt and leather pilot watch. Since my mentor was the “bowtie King”, I went with one that was bold enough to stand out and complimented the suit.
