The franchise WENDY’S used an advertisement based around “WHERE’S THE BEEF?” Last night the NFL held its annual draft in NYC at Radio City Music Hall. The best college football talent, had auditioned for these future jobs over the previous months, and now was their night to sit back, relax, and wait for their name to be called by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. So now, the worst of the league gets the best pics, and the best of the league picks up the crumbs, 2 hours into this event. I’ll let ESPN debate who chose wisely, and who didn’t. As one analyst said last night, 50% of the league chose wrong and will be in the same position next year. As they discuss their talent, I’ll discuss their fashion choices.
The top prospects, Jadeveon Clowney, Johnny Manziel, and Blake Bortles kept their looks pretty conservative, yet stylish. Dark suit, white or light blue shirt, navy neckwear, and a hint of a pocketsquare, to show us some individuality.

For many of the athletes chosen by these NFL teams, an “off the rack” suit, just won’t do. For a guy like Johnny Manziel who’s 6′ 0, maybe 210 lbs. he can fit into brands like HUGO BOSS or Canali, but for guys like lineman Greg Robinson who’s 6′ 5 and at least 320 lbs, he’s going to need some direction. I’m sure these guys will have a tailor in whichever city they end up in, ready and able to have a bespoke suit ready for any and all of their upcoming interviews and events. For now, it’s day two of the NFL meat market, hopefully your team chooses wisely, and these future millionaires dress accordingly.
